FAQs

So you have just got engaged and for some of you, maybe even most of you, this is a brand new journey. It is hard to not feel overwhelmed by how it all happens and even where to start. You are in good hands. Below I have covered the most commonly asked questions but please do not hesitate to contact me if your question is not answered here. Remember no question is too silly!

When should I book my celebrant?

Once you have decided on a date and a venue your next step should definitely be finding your celebrant. Remember without a celebrant, you are just planning a very expensive party! Don't put it off as the good ones book up fast! The standard of celebrants varies greatly and you want to make sure that the celebrant you book is equipped to make it the perfect ceremony for you..

I will ask for a non-refundable booking fee to secure the date for you.

How long will the ceremony go for?

Most ceremonies go anywhere from 10-20 mins depending on the complexity of the ceremony and whether you want rituals and readings.

How much notice do I have to give to get married in Australia?

You need to complete the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) and lodge with your celebrant at least one month prior to your wedding.

The NOIM remains current for 18 months.

Will you help me with my vows?

Your ceremony builder booklet that you receive when you book with me has loads of ideas and inspirations for your vows.

I will also offer personal guidance should you need it.

You have the choice of having your vows printed on embossed card to read from during the ceremony.

What equipment will you bring?

I provide a state of the art sound system which will ensure your audience can hear the ceremony.

It can also play your music should you need.

Will I see my script before the ceremony?

We work closely together throughout the creation of the ceremony. This ensures the ceremony is exactly how you want it to be.

There will no changes two weeks before the wedding to ensure that I have time to make sure it is perfect!
